My mum bought me this toy and I think it is absolutely brilliant! I have three other atlantis sets (Neptune carrier 8075, the Typhoon turbo sub 8060 and the monster crab clash 8056) and I asked my mum to get this for me. I loved building it as much as I loved building all the other sets. I played with it for hours with all my other sets. I think atlantis is one of the best lego series' ever made!!! out of 10 I would give it a million!
hope this review helps!

My six year old boy was given this for easter by his grandmother. It's actually quite an easy lego build, apart from a couple of tricky bit on the gates and it can be a bit hard to get the elastic bands on the pullys with little fingers. He was quite excited when he built the squid, which is quite long when it has the tentacles on - the mouth parts rotate which is quite a nice feature. The rest fo the play set it pretty easy to do, its a couple of platforms that connect with each other with an opening door feature. The doors are opened by placing a lego atlantis key (there is one in every atlantis set) into the receptical and turning (to be honest they open fine but closing them has been a bit of a problem, but to be honest the fact that things happened excited my lad). At the back there is a treasure chest and with the twist of a lego piece it can be made to disappear. The squid can be mounted onto the back of the set and when it's all together it's a really good lego set.

My son has been playing with this and his other lego atlantis sets (LEGO Atlantis 8075 Neptune Carrier, LEGO Atlantis 8060 Typhoon Turbo Sub and LEGO Atlantis 8059 Seabed Scavenger) and I fully expect him to be playing with them for some time to come.

My nine year old is a big lego fan.He loves the theme of this range and the thought that has gone into the models.
He loved building it and has played with this for hours at a time
He has asked for the rest of the Atlantis range from other people as a birthday gift.
Good value for money in my opinion as long time buyer of lego for all of my three boys.

My son is collecting this collection and this was a good little set. Mini figs plus the squid, hidden trap, treasure and gates that open with the key of Atlantis. I would recommend this.

My seven year old son saved long and hard to afford this Lego set. He was delighted with it and it has fulfilled his expectations. But what a lot of money for a few bricks! Yes it is lovely when made up, yes it was challenging for him to construct but now it is made the goal is achieved. I can't help wondering if a box of mixed bricks and a little imagination would not be even more fun and give greater satisfaction. I can imagine that he will be reluctant to deconstruct it and wonder if he will ever make it up again? I was disappointed in the quality of the Lego bricks; they are not what they used to be - not as robust.
