Contents miniscule in comparison to the box size - a real disappointment. When unpacked, the bricks barely cover the bottom of the box - in fact, they might just fit in the top lid.
All the houses shown are fairly 1 dimensional, which not only creates its own construction issues, it limits the playability of the final product.
Far better value is LEGO 6194: My LEGO® Town - a lot more Lego, a similar price, but no plastic box.

We bought Lego for our 4 1/2 year old daughter, she has spent the last 4 years playing with mega blocks and we decided to go straight to lego missing out the duplo. She was a little overwhelmed by it but within a couple of hours was straight in to it. The only thing I would say is I am struggling to find suitable lego for girls, all lego products are very much influenced by boy charcters and products. That is a little dissappointing. But I think we will manage. With 3 children in the family we are hoping for many hours of fun with Lego.

It was a birthday present for my 4 yrs old twins, they liked it when I did the construction work but not by themselves, the bricks r little too small for their small hands. my boy still shows a little interest but only when I'm free to play together with him but not my girl, so now it's put aside. Probably it would be better when they r 5+.
