All day long! Quite literally!
We bought this for my two-year-old son a couple of weeks ago and he absolutely loves it. There's a lot of play value included for a relatively small amount of money. There's the bus, obviously, with a driver, old man and little girl (each with their own suitcase). The doors to the cargo area open and shut and there is even a door to the engine bay at the back, complete with molded platic engine.
But that's not all! You also get a three-part bus stop sign, a seat and a green base to mount them on, thus creating a convenient go-anywhere bus top. We've had trips to the shops, trips to school and visits to the swimming pool all acted out. It really is great fun and my little boy loves pushing it around the floor singing the song that lends its name to the title of this review!
Some might argue that there's not much to build, considering it's essentially a Lego kit and they'd be right. But I think it's better to think of sets like this as an alternative to, say, Playmobil and view them as "small world" toys rather than construction kits, with the added bonus that they can be used for building if you get enough of them or mix them in with bigger Duplo sets.
My only criticism, and it's a minor one, relates to the green base used for the bus stop. Annoyingly, it is the same length as the interior of the bus which means it often gets shoved in there and can be quite difficult to remove, especially for big clumsy grown-up fingers. If it had been a stud shorter or longer, it would have been perfect. But ignore me, I'm being pedantic!
A great toy and highly recommended!
