5.0 out of 5 stars A review from a 6-year old. 30 Sep 2012

The game is very fun. It helps you learn. It is like Pictionary but building.
1.First put the colours in the right flat box.
2.Roll the Lego dice.
3.Get card and make it out of Lego.
Basically, you need to guess what they've made.
Then if you guess it ,it is your go.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lego Creationary game 16 Nov 2011

Bought this toy for my 10yr old son, it was delivered promptly, and we "promptly" sat down and had a go. Great fun, laughed the whole time, particularly at my "creations". Would thoroughly recommend it, my son is still coming up with fabulous creations each time which are recognisable, unlike mine!!

Like pictionary, only better cuase you have to build the word with the given lego blocks. Had us all, adults and kids alike, in hysterics!! Good for learning puzzle solving and thinking outside the box. For intance, the word was 'poo'...the kids obviously LOVED that one!

My 11 year old Lego-mad daughter bought this with her birthday money and so far we have only played this together as a two-some (not in proper teams as the rules state). She is far better than me and far more imaginative - maybe that is because she has many Lego sets and is used to building complicated kits! It is fun though and I can imagine a group of adults having a great evening trying to build planes, coffee machines and all manner of weird and wonderful things! It takes a while to play though so one has to have patience! All in all lots of fun and if you like Pictionary you will like this game.

This is a great game for children and adults alike. In some ways it also takes Lego building back to its roots, creating a very wide range of models from a limited range of standard and specialist pieces. This demands imagination, creativity, sometimes lateral thinking, and like Pictionary managing to tune into the minds of other players who have to guess what you are making. Sometimes the player can recreate a model very similar to that illustrated on the card, and other times it's simpler or better to create a model that will convey the right image for others to guess correctly.
The game suggests 4 methods of play, which gives added flexibilty for differing groups of players. We prefer one player to build while the rest compete to guess first and gain a winning point. Others may prefer concurrent building by several players.
The game does not provide a timer, and you may wish to add one to maintain interest and momentum for all the players.
Overall ... not cheap, but an excellent game for all ages!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun 11 April 2012

Bought this game for my 7 year old twins and arrived today. We had a couple of goes with this and started on the basic level and found some of the things we had to build quite hard. However, we still managed to have fun.

This game is very durable, lots of fun and also educational from the point of view that it lets their imagination run riot.

My one complaint is the same as another reviewer in that it is very easy to run out of bits to build your model.

Fun game. Would recommend.

Well, I never thought a box of Lego could be so much fun. Just try to make a tractor or a pterodactyl out of these small pieces - and then have a smart 7 year old guess correctly that your two white pieces you have just started with are a polar bear. We have had great fun with this set - from 7 to 70 year olds - but the 7 year olds seem to be the most creative. Go buy - have a good Christmas.

Gave this to my 11year old grandson for xmas and we all loved it! So much fun and laughter!! Top tip from his mum was to "create a context" when I had to make a coconut!!! 2 brown circles of lego suddenly became a coconut once I built a palm tree!! lol
ENJOY!

Too many small pieces, too long to assemble. Family got bored after 20 minutes. Not worth the money. First Lego letdown.

not an easy game for younger members of the family and those playing need to have a good imagination so born in 60's or 70's before packs with pre-made parts
