I was really pleased with the lego beetle as I had similar before and it took many hours to built and now it's on my shelf as decoration :)

Took 4 weeks, but for a reason 4 May 2009

My son and I built this model over 4 weekends. It would have been faster but he wanted to use it to create this stop motion animation:

It was a good kit, cleverly designed. Nothing too hard, but many small pieces. I'm sure he could have assembled it himself if we weren't filming it. My only knock is one for all big lego kits; would it kill them to bag them up in a way that corresponds with the directions (ie bag 1 for steps 1-4, bag 2 for steps 5-8, etc.)?
