This was my first LEGO build in over 3 years, the last being a Technic Snow Mobile. But after I rediscovered joy with a new found, unopened LEGO City piece under my bed, I realised a more challenging piece was needed. I found, by coincidence, this product on Amazon, and it was love at first sight.
This particular model is based on rescue helicopters operated by the American Coast Guard; the Dolphin and Flying Egg. Never mind that however, because I want to discuss the product itself.
When I first opened up the package, I realised throwing away the Amazon box was a mistake. The small pieces needed to be separated so it eases construction, meanwhile pieces of the same shape needed to be categorised into sizes. So really, the most challenging thing about this build, was sorting everything out. The build itself was rather easy, but difficult and awkward in certain sections. For example, the rear wing had to be fitted, and corrected into position by hand, because there wasn't any restriction on the movement of the piece. If you don't know what I mean, ignore it, and buy the damn thing!
Also, it was nice of LEGO to put a 1:1 scale picture of the piece to ease construction. Thanks LEGO.
