I purchased this set for a little boy in my class who is 6 with ADHD and it has been the most fantastic curriculum resource for him. He loves it because it is "his" lego set and when other children ask to use it, he is allowed to share or refuse... in effect, he is in charge of it. I have sat with him and showed him how to collect together the pieces you need at each stage and then put them in place, before turning the page to the next instruction. Because it has such detailed instructions and it is written in such an easy to use way, he is able to work independently or 1:1 with an adult. I have NEVER seen this child stay on task with any other toy or resource and yet this set seems to change his whole make up as soon as we get it out. I would definitely recommend Lego for any children who have trouble staying or task or following instructions etc. but to be honest, what kid doesn't like Lego?
