One of the most under-rated cooking pots. It's just Simply most natural and fantastic way to cook.. Just a slow gas, or even on the BBQ. Little bit of butter, then a couple cloves of garlic. A few shrimps, couple of mushrooms, then some pine-nuts.. Then Sit back and enjoy the aroma.. Truly marvellous. Enjoy with a glass of wine!

You do need to be rather careful with the quantities of liquid that you add to dishes cooked in the tagine, I have found that it is very easy to add too much and find that its bubbling over within a few minutes, then its a bit of a pain to remove some of it. You won't get a huge amount of food in it either, despite the deceptively large base, as it is quite shallow. On the plus side however, the cast iron base makes it easy to cook the whole dish in your tagine, rather than needing to brown your meat elsewhere, and the end result is very tasty.

Tagines are wonderful. I have had a ceramic pot for a while and would consider purchasing the Le Creuset. Unfortunately I can't seem to find out what size it is (diameter. Can anyone help.
