I purchased the ladybug II recently after doing quite a bit of online research to find the perfect Ipod/Iphone dock for me. This system was perfect. I read reviews where people had problems with fitting Iphones into the cradle securely, I didn't have such problems, I found my 2g iphone fit perfectly. I do agree however that the different inserts should clearly state which device each is for. I find the sound perfect for my requirements - goes to an acceptably loud level with good quality sound. For me the best thing about this system is the style of it, it is funky and small, fits perfectly on my counter top without standing out like a sore thumb. Would agree with other reviews that the remote control leaves alot to be desired, however this isn't a big issue for me. Would definitely recommend the ladybug II, I am really happy with my purchase.

This is a cracking little piece of kit. I bought this on offer as I'd wanted a decent set of speakers to be able to listen to my iPod when I'm in the bath. FANTASTIC little speakers. The sound is crystal clear, the system is dinky and very lightweight. The only thing I would suggest is a pull out handle should be included in the design to carry it easily from "a" to "b". Love it!

Bought this after reading the reviews for the more expensive (read: better?) versions and thought I'd give it a go - at £26 you can't go wrong, right? Bought it as a 13th birthday present for my little brother but couldn't part with it without giving it a little test run first and, for the price, it's EXACTLY what I wanted. It's light, portable and packs up small enough that Little Bro'll be able to take it to his mates' houses no problem, and it's good and loud (I expect that they'll be told constantly to turn their music down). I love the design - the speakers are little 'wings' that fold out from the sides BUT they look like they'll snap off fairly easily so be CAREFUL with it! Sound quality is absolutely great keeping in mind that I'm buying it for a kid (not exactly the most discerning of listeners) though if you're playing something with a heavy bassline then you'll find it sounds SLIGHTLY like someone's hitting the speakers repeatedly with a metal mallet. I read on a review somewhere that this is what's know as a 'muddy'-sounding bass, though I've no idea if that's an accurate description.

I've got my own iPod Nano playing on it right now and I can hear the upstairs neighbours getting cross. VERY tempted to get one for myself, but I'll take a look at reviews for the next model up before I do SIMPLY because I do like a bit of nice-sounding bass.

Final thoughts: if you want something inexpensive, good sound quality and portable then this is the one for you. Even taking into account what I've said above about the bass, the sound is FINE and the volume is better than I expected for something of it's price/size.

Enjoy!

We had heard a product from the Vestalife range of speakers at a friend's house, and researched online which model to buy. The Ladybug II gets really good reviews on Amazon and another site we looked at, but now I have bought one I am very surprised that it is so popular. Although the design is lovely and it is a very well-made product, certain aspects of the sound quality really aren't very good. Treble and midrange are adequate but the bass is terrible, and the sound becomes very distorted at higher volumes. I don't expect to play it excessively loud, but even when turned up to a comfortable level in the living room it's not great to listen to. It is fine as a back up for camping, but it's certainly not good enough to have as a main sound system.

I'm not sure if one of the other models would have been better. It is an improvement on the £10 speaker we bought from Aldi, but I'm afraid I expected more..

First of all, thank you Amazon it took only 2 days to arrive on the free postage, great service as usual!

I bought this to use in my bedroom and I have to say for £19.99 i am THRILLED. Do not expect for this price you are going to get a dock that is able to fill a very large room with loud music...you will need more than one speaker for that!

Portable so i can take it on picnics/camping trips etc.
Charges my devices whilst docked.
Power cable so i can plug and play, without searching for batteries (come on, we all do it!) It even comes with a variety of different plug heads so you could take this abroad.
Smart little, easy to use remote control which has large and nicely spaced buttons so no fumbling in the dark!! and the remote can access your device menu as well as the usual controls including on/off - uses the flat cell like battery which is supplied.
Very pleasing to the eye and looks stylish both open and closed without taking up much room.
I am no music/sound buff but i am very happy with the sound. I like to play a range of music and have loved everything i have played/heard so far.
The lights on the front are not intrusive so when playing at night, going to sleep they do not disturb.

A very happy customer and I would highly recommend. Thank you.
