Apple Changed the voltage system in their products from 4th generation products upwards in 2007/2008. This meant charging problems with certain docking stations such as the Bose Series 1 / First Generation. This adapter will solve this problem.
This adaptor changes the charge voltage from 12V to 5V which will enable devices such as iPhone 3gs/4/4s, iPod's; Nanos, Classic iPod, iPad and iTouch etc, and it will charge your Apple device whilst your listening to it on your chosen docking station (no more draining the battery, and having to re-charge seperately!
Works with any iPhone, iPod and iPad charging system that was designed to charge the older 12V Apple devices
*Please note if you are using this adapter to create a Bluetooth solution for your Bose 1 dock please put this either of these ASIN's in to the search bar for the correct solution: ASIN: B00BM3UCRA or ASIN: B00E3WSAAS*'Please note LAYEN and its products are not affiliated with nor endorsed by Bose Corporation'
"This adapter arrived within 2-3 days and has given my early Bose Sounddock a new lease of life. Until now I have been using the dock with an early iPod Touch - and also with my iPhone 4 (but without a charging facility). This device solves the latter problem painlessly and I wish I had been aware of the LAYEN product earlier. The Sounddock now charges my phone and works well with music - and also with my iPhone radio app (TuneIn) which would otherwise drain the battery over an extended period. The investment required is, after all, modest relative to the cost of a new dock"
