Book Description

Morgan Dane lived life on the edge as a member of the Northern Ohio Law Enforcement Task Force; hunting criminals was in her blood. Not one to live the fast life or fall in love easily, she prided herself on being focused and not letting outside influences interfere with hunting Cleveland's most notorious drug dealer, Anton Jackson. Once her beloved partner retires, she fails to make a connection with a number of partners before settling in with Agent Adam Cabrera; the handsome Latino transfer from Miami, Florida.

It wasn't love at first sight or a perfect paring but Agent Paul Hamilton's mission was to change Morgan Dane's cold resistance towards love. How will these three work together? Will they find the professionalism to handle the high profile case that they will become deeply entangled in or will they find friendship once common ground has been established? Step in Carmen Maria, the one person to make sure Morgan Dane makes this partnership work with Adam Cabrera on and off the field.

Follow the intrigue, suspense and light comedy of this novel of love and hate to find out the twists, turns and events leading up to the perfect match for these displaced team members.

I am an American citizen and live and work in the State of Ohio (otherwise known as the Buckeye State). My passion for writing started when my two children were young. As a stay at home mom for a few years, I would write short stories as a hobby while the kids slept or spent time with their grandparents. I decided to publish my first book as a tribute to my family. We are a group of strong men and women who raised our families to have moral values and love one another. We love, support, and encourage each other to live and achieve to the best of our abilities and to keep God first in our lives.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable 6 Mar. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I came across this author by accident and so far the books that I have purchased haven't let me down.

Morgan Dane and Adam Cabrera are both FBI Agents didn't get off to the best of starts and Morgan's as she comes across as unnecessarily aggressive and combative when she first bumps into her new partner.

Adam does his best to get on the good side of his partner's prickly disposition as they work together to catch a drug dealer.

At times, I felt the black characters were almost stereotypical but there are enough twists to make it interesting.

Excellent value for money, good length and well written. No complaints.

4.0 out of 5 stars Whew! 16 Mar. 2014

A very convoluted tale of FBI agents; love; deceit; intrigue; kidnap; murder and drugs! I enjoyed on the whole, particularly the relationship and banter between Morgan and Adam. There were numerous missing words/spelling mistakes, which unfortunately were a bit of a distraction, hence only 4*

5.0 out of 5 stars An unexpected surprise 21 Dec. 2011

I just finished reading "Law and Disorder: Partners Undercover" and I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED, LOVED IT!!!!!!!!. It was a great, easy read and I absolutely fell in love with the characters and experienced every emotion while reading it!!!!.I felt as though I was a FBI agent out on the assignments because of the detail to information and experience the author shared, the passion between Morgan and Adam had me rooting for their love to work, the suspense as to who the real "perp" was had me all over the place. Being a Cleveland, Ohio Native I felt as though I was walking the streets of Cleveland and feeling homesick and remininiscing on days gone by. I hated for the book to end!....GREAT JOB!!!! :D

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, Wow, and Wow.....Must Read!! 1 Jan. 2012

OMG...........I found a hidden treasure. I can't not believe more people have not read this and provided feedback.

What a great find and read. I so enjoyed this book. I gaurantee you will like it. Be prepared because it a full book (300+ written pages) so, it will take a few days but so worth it. I never got the urge to "fastfoward" in an effort to get to the good part. It was good from beginning to end.

The authore did such a good job with mystery, action, adventure, and romance. Truly this was a good book.

The female lead (Morgan) was a bit annoying at times but not enough to make you want to stop reading the book. I find there is somewhat consist pattern with these romance novels in which some of the femal characters come across aggrevating and ridiculous due to their "independance".

I appreciated the tastefullness in which the author wrote the sex scenes; they were hot without have to be vulgar. In addition, there was a realistic portrayl of the couples sex life. Some of these books throw sex scenes in a page fillers and is simply not believable half the time.

Please read this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Spicy give and take! 4 April 2012
By Davis Grandkowski - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
At the beginning of Law and Disorder, Morgan Dane is a dedicated member of Ohio Law Enforcement who doesn't believe in love. Her new partner, Agent Adam Cabrera, feels he has the insight into every female agent he's ever met. They all have bad attitudes with chips on their shoulders. There's enough friction up front between Morgan and Adam to cause problems but it only adds some spicy give and dicey take to the story. Not only that, but both agents are embroiled in a high profile case to catch a drug dealer. If you've read Ms. Brown's other books she finds balance with the budding love between Morgan and Adam while adding humor and giving us plenty of action and suspense. If you like strong independent female characters, hot men around six-two, and a realistic portrayal of their falling in love throw in a clever plotline, you'll love Law and Disorder.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't keep this book undercover ! 2 Mar. 2012

I loved this book. I was on the edge of my seat for two days trying to figure out who was behind the corruption and mayhem. Interestingly enough while I was trying to figure out the " whodunit", I never lost focus on the romance which stayed central to the story; that takes talent. The pace, content, realism and the romance were all so well done.

The tension between FBI agents Morgan and Adam was enough to burn the pages of my kindle. I enjoyed the realistic situations and honest up to date dialogue. I felt like Adam and Morgan talking could be my firends. The supporting cast was strong and helped to carry the story. Carmen kept it real with both Adam and Morgan. While I could never be best buds with my former lover I like how the author dealt with those feelings in the story (Morgan was a better woman than me). Adam stayed true to the very end. We need more men like him.

I liked this was a full length novel. It allowed the chemistry to develop and you did not feel like they feel in love too soon. This is a book I would read again as I am certain there were details I missed as I was "white knuckling" it throughout the story.

4.0 out of 5 stars Partners Undercover 8 Jan. 2012
By Summer War - Published on Amazon.com

First of all, the storyline was really good. It kept you guessing on who was behind the different parts and who was behind the overall scheme. I loved the rapport between the H and h, and also between some of the secondary characters like Carmen and Benson. There were many times that I actually laughed out loud at the dialogue in the story, but there were other times I was practically on the edge of my seat wishing I could read faster to find out what happened next. In fact, after reading this, it really felt more like a movie -- the length of the book and the twists and turns it takes reminds me of a full-length action thriller, rather than a 50minute long L&O type show.

I only had 2 complaints about this book. The first one is that the story was long and in depth, and I felt like it was dragging in some places. There were a few places that loose ends start being tied up; it would have been easy to finish the story there and give the H and h their HEA, but instead, the situation was just manipulated to allow the story to continue. The second problem I had was the proofreading and editing. For example, there was one point where the h says to H "there wasn't a sole around when we got here." I'm sorry, but does the author mean a fish or a foot? Because that's not how you spell the word that means spirit. I know it sounds nitpicky, but mistakes like that are what separates big publishing company books from self-published books written by weekend warriors.

Overall, I gave the book 4 stars because I felt like the good storyline and the price (FREE when I got it) balanced out the parts that were a little draggy and the lack of editing.
