While this album is not as immediately ear-bleedingly good as the later ones, in my opinion, this shows the recorded beginnings of one of the best all-female rock bands ever. The lyrics are L7 classics, such as I Drink (a refreshing change to rock songs about pain and love, and the pain that love causes), and Bite The Wax Tadpole (the Japanese translation of 'Coca-Cola') gave the girls the name of their own label, Wax Tadpole. Snake Handler is one of my favourite L7 tracks of all time, and I thik that makes it worth owning this album. If you like L7 already, buy this! If all you know of L7 is Pretend We're Dead, and their appearance on 'The Word', buy it. The CD label's cool too.
