This Jackie Collins book is okay, not good nor brilliant, just okay.
The characters are lively, and possibly the best thing about the book itself. Madison Castelli is a sharp tongued journalist who I would love to meet if she existed. Salli T Turner is a big bosomed Pamela Lee type. Natalie De Burge is a black news anchor woman, who loves matchmaking and dreams of a TV career.
There are plenty more including Kristin, the high priced call girl and Freddie Leon the cold hearted agent.
The storyline is a bit dull, but pacy. It's like she made it up as she went along. The ending is a mess. You expect a great big climax that will explode and shock you. Instead you get a tiny sizzle that just scrapes your satisfaction. Even the identity of the elusive Mr X isn't a great big shock, not that you will suspect who it is, merely the character itself.
This is a book for Jackie fans, but don't expect another "Hollywood Wives" or "Chances" because it's a modern book, and not up to her usual standards...Still I like it.

This was the easiest read in Jackie Collins I have found, but that is not bad, I ws just able to read it in a couple of hours. I really enjoyed this book and thought that the mystery surrounding Mr. X was great. I did not guess who it was, which I enjoyed not being able to, as it gave me a shock. In this book we meet Madison, one of the best charcters in the Jackie Collins land, alongside Lucky. It was a very good book and a must for any Jackie Collins fan, although it is a lot different from her other ones, but that is what makes it so good.

Jackie Collins was always one of my very favourite writers, but lately her style has become slack and skeletal. Her writing needs fleshing out. All the action, romance and thrills are still there, and the plots are still good, but the style is fading fast. I hope it all comes back in that favourite style of those brilliant Jackie C classics like 'Hollywood Wives'; 'Chances'; 'Rock Star'; 'Chances' and 'Lucky'. - If you want a REALLY good read, go for one of those and you won't be dissappointed, just very, VERY tired from staying up all night reading an un-put-down-able book!
I longed, and waited for this Jackie Collins latest after a dissappointing read in 'Thrill', but was sorely dissappointed yet again. So, forget 'L.A. Connections' unless you're bored. Sorry Jackie.

This one was originally released as 4 parts a month behind each other. All I will say is that it would have drove me mad if I was reading it at the time.

I think this was a little less exciting because it was split up. Somehow it seemed less like a book and more like a short story. The story was very good and interesting, just not as good as the 2 follow ups which went into much more detail.
The end was a little bit of a let down, not predictable but just not a big shock. If you were going straight into Lethal Seduction then you wouldn't mind so much. Still though, definitely worth reading.

Although not as gripping as her previous novels, such as Lucky and chances, I still found that I couldn't put the book down. This was mainly due to the mystique of 'MR X' and the fun of trying to find out who had done what, and to whom. I would recommend this novel to established Jackie Collins readers and anybody who loves a trashy novel.

Like all Jackie Collins books this one grabbed me straight in and kept me reading. I read this story in the 4 separate versions rather than the novel which I personally wasn't keen on. Like all Collins novels there was sex, murder and more sex but a disappointing ending in my opinion.
