As someone who had what may have been an uncontrolled and spontaneous Kundalini rising experience a few years ago, I have been very keen to learn more on this subject. It is hard to do so these days and filter out all the 'New-Age' hogwash, so after doing a little research on the author concerned thought this might be a good start. Although a fascinating book, it is not suitable at all if your just starting out on your journey to knowledge. If you are a beginner, don't be swayed by the title. This book will tell you little you need to know. The authors experiences are far from common and as one other reviewer said, they are the exception. If however you are already have extensive knowledge on the subject, this book will be of real interest. Actually, as a final point, because of the new-age problem, I would always advise you do your research on the author first. Although this book was not suitable for my needs, that should not detract from the authors integrity in this case.
