Bought this after going through the ritual search of reviews etc. It was heavily discounted at a high street chain because they are discontinuing. Having compared this with the ever popular Magimix, I was very pleasantly suprised. This has such innovations as bowls that CAN go in the dishwasher, a dough hook that's made of metal with a dedicated dough bowl, fantastic liquidiser that actually does not leak / spray over the kitcen. Has a huge selection of extras, high power motor that seems to be beautifully over engineered. So glad this was around.

I bought this item, unboxed it, saw the cheap plastic construction on the base of the blender and repacked it for return. I expected to see a heavy duty construction considering the price but the only thing heavy duty apart from the price was the base and its weight.
