5.0 out of 5 stars Korn live at montreux 20 Nov 2011
By kaleb
Format:Blu-ray|Verified Purchase
This is a great quality film. The sound was just as good as a studio album and there were plenty different camera angles to give an intense expirience. The picture was amazing, since i could clearly see every fret and string on the guitars which you don't on dvds. This is the very first blu ray I have ever seen though and I used it on a ps3 so I can't compare this with other blu rays. This is not an official Korn film. It is of the montreux series. I was already aware there were no extras but this is a great concert which makes it worth the money. The main reason I bought this though was to see how Munky and Head were playing certain riffs that I found difficult learning by ear. This dvd has helped me learn lots Korn songs on guitar. I reccomend any Korn fan to buy this or anyone who is just getting in to Korn like myself.

4.0 out of 5 stars We've Never Been Cool 24 Aug 2008
I didnt really realise when buying this that it wasnt per say a actual 'korn made' dvd, but a release buy the fesitival/dvd company etc. But regardless of that it is a very well produced concert!

Super clean video and high quality 5.1 sound.
The concert itself would be a 4 / 4.5 for setlist/sound and video quality etc

The only reason i felt it warrents 4stars is because of the complete lack of any special features, some backstagestage or interveiws or something like that would have added to the dvd.

As far as the concert goes, i think that if you have seen korn before, or own any other of the Korn dvds then this is in no way essential korn.
But for the keen fan it is a well producted concert with a good (yet fairly predicatable) setlist.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great concert to own! 17 Jun 2014
It's stunningly presented in Hi Def and the sound is fantastic! Korn are on fire throughout and give a very good performance full of energy and passion. The concert starts off with a great drum solo by David Silveria that proceeds straight into 'Right now'. This song really gets the adrenaline going and the crowd are clearly having fun moshing to it. The setlist contains all the classic Korn songs that made them one of the biggest bands over the past few decades and the band are clearly enjoying themselves. The song 'Blind' gets a fantastic playthrough while Jonathen Davis screams his way brilliantly through 'F***t. The band also cover the classic Pink Floyd song 'Another brick in the wall'. They present a tremendous version of this song and Brian Welch lets loose on a great guitar solo. It's one of the highlights of the show. The setlist ends with Y'all want a single'. The crowd love this closing song as Jonathen shouts expletives and gives one last burst of energy to round the show off nicely. If you are a Korn fan than this is a no brainer as you will love the show, for anyone else it's a good gig to watch that shows just how great Korn are live and what a good group of musicians they are.
