Brilliant product definate must have. Amazing sounds.

Do not accept the dimensions given on here as they are very wrong. I bought a bag and stand at same time based on dimensions provided but bag is actually much smaller at 77x20x7cm - bag and stand having to be returned.

No competitor 22 Mar. 2012
By Daine - Published on
There is no other product in the marketplace that can compete with this guy on price and functionality. I needed a workstation--a keyboard with a full synthesizer (not just preset voices) and a sequencer built in--but I'm a college student and I can't afford the typical $1000 - $3000 prices of the other workstations out there. I was amazed that I could get a MicroSTATION for $400, and it does most of what its more expensive siblings can. The main tradeoffs are the lack of a big screen (you'll want to hook it to a computer for in-depth programming) and the mini-keys. I actually don't mind the small keys, despite being a lifetime classical pianist. They aren't too much of a hassle to adjust to, space is tight in my little apartment, and I never intended this to be a performance device anyway. I just need something that I can compose on that gives me maximal creative control. A real winner--the only product in its class and thankfully a good one.

Good build quality for the price 29 Nov. 2012

The keyboard turned out to be smaller than I thought. Its extremely light. There are no speakers so you have to use your headphones. The build quality is excellent though (very KORG-like). Although the keys are smaller than I expected, I am very satisfied with this product for the price I paid for it.

A Real Workstation 30 May 2012

I got mine from Amazon about a year ago and have used it several times to accompany the worship team at church. It is perfect for that, very easy to carry and set up, it sits well on top of the piano and has a ton of great sounds. I make arrangements in Band-in-a-Box and dump a Midi file onto an SD card and play it throught the sequencer. This way I don't have to fiddle around with a computer during the set (or even bring it along). I tweek the parts using the editor software that came with the Microstation and save it as a song file to my set list, this is all quick and easy. Playing the micro keys is easy, just a little practice and I can switch between the piano and Micostation with out any problems. I made a church organ combi that I like to play with large keys so for that I contol the Microstation with a PX-3. That gives me all kinds of layer and split sounds to use if I want. Of course that just means there is more to carry around, the Microstation's best feature is that it is a real workstation that is easy to take along.

The best music workstation for under $500 28 July 2013

This is not just a music keyboard. It is a full-service music workstation. You can actually make full songs/tracks with this portable machine. The grid sequencing is particularly useful for people who are in to Electronic Dance Music (EDM). The combis and program are mind blowing and will compete with any keyboard priced in the $2000-$3000 range. The only downside I found was the LCD, which seemed to be a bit small for editing. But for sounds, the Microstation is absolutely fantastic!

Overall, a wonderful product and the best keyboard workstation in its class.

Impressive for Price 2 April 2013

Wow! As an owner of just about every Korg product made [MS-10, MS-20, Tritons, Kaossilators, etc] I was pleasantly surprised. Think of a Triton LE with mini keys and you're pretty close. Nice sounds, nice beats. If you dislike the mini-keys just MIDI it to a large controller. Nice!
