i have had my czech cooker for several years now, bought from a shopping chanel, but it is in constant use and I am being pressed by my husband to buy another as a 'spare' because, quite honestly I don't know how we would manage if it should give up the ghost. it really does do everything it purports to do. as an example, hubby likes his cooked breakfast so in go sliced toms, halved mushrooms and bacon rashers. you can safely leave it to cook without supervision. when bacon is cooked, shove everything to one side and add egg while toast is doing and hey presto, a no fuss cooked breakfast. wash out and pop in the chicken (for pickin') to roast. when chicken cooked (1- 2 hrs depending on size,) rinse out again place chicken pieces, or cubed braising steak tossed in seasoned cornflour, to cook on high until browned . add vegetables and stock and leave to simmer until casserole is cooked. rinse out again and warm up a pie with chips for supper. there you have a days worth of no fuss cooking for a fraction of the cost of running a full size oven. it really does bake, roast, braise, reheat,-- ---anything you would normaly do in a regular oven, oh yes and defrost too. The downside if there is one is the size, absolutely perfect for two, or in the case of our family three, so if you don't need to cook large quantities I guarantee you will be delighted and wonder how you ever did without it. It is so easy to use and so easy to clean it's unbelievable.

Bought this after 2 friends raved about what they cook in theirs and I have sampled the cooking and baking - delicious! I cooked a lamb shank and unplanned had to keep it warm for an hour, turned the setting down and the Remoska just kept everything hot but not overcooked. Then baked a cake - yummy! What setting to use is a bit of guesswork but no different to any other appliance, takes practice.
Update - I have discovered how to do a full cooked breakfast in this wonderful beast - start with the sausages, drain off the fat and when about half done add the bacon, again drain excess fat if there is any (fat seems to evaporate?) then the beans to one side, then the eggs (keep an eye on them as by this stage cooking is from the underneath pan as it is hot as well as the cooker lid element) - go on, try it you know you want to! And the pan is easy to wipe out with kitchen roll when cooled down.
Not found a downside to the cooker yet, I now rarely use my oven or grill.....plan to use this in a campervan when hooked up. Enjoy!

This is a wonderful gadget. I had a Romeska before but unfortunately the glass got broken. I was so pleased to find the Czeck Cooker as it does everything the Romeska does but is cheaper. I love the fact that the electrical cable comes out and that there is a dial to control the heat. I have been using the pan at home but soon shall be using it in my motorhome. The delivery and packaging was all very efficient.

I bought this after much research to use at home & in our motorhome whilst we are away over the winter months. It arrived quickly in 4 days, (ordered over a Bank Holiday weekend too) & very well packaged. It is actually better quality than I expected. I have switched it on to try it & it heats up quickly for cooking. I'm a little disappointed that there aren't a few more recipes in the booklet so I've ordered a Remoska Recipe Book from Ebay. Altogether, so far I'm pleased that I bought this cooker & not disappointed that I didn't go for the Lakeland Remoska. I hope I can report back when I've had some cooking successes!
PS Have now cooked roast chicken - 1.2kg in 1hr 15mins - beautifully cooked with crispy skin & very tasty AND cooked flavoursome salmon steaks very easily & quickly cooked. Have received the Remoska Recipe Book - I can HIGHLY recommend it. Can't wait to cook more delicious food!

I read the reviews and tried to imagine how the product would work as a replacement for my Halogen oven and induction hob.
I live alone, so having one item instead of two for my cooking needs seemed a good idea. Also this Czech oven runs at 470 watts (It's advertised as 450 watts, but the specifications label on mine says 470 watts), it should save quite a bit on electric. My halogen oven is 1300 watts and my induction hob is 2000 watts.

I think now I can do mostly everything I used to do with my old oven and hob. I used it as a slow cooker last night to cook some Dahl. I just put the dried pulses in with some curry powder, powdered vegetable stock, fresh garlic and a generous amount of water, and in the morning I had cooked Dahl which I added fresh ginger puree, coriander and lime juice. I know I'll be able to cook many different things in this Czech oven, and save on the electric bill as well.

This isn't as quick as the halogen oven and induction hob though, but it just takes a bit of creative thinking and organization to make good use of it.

All I can say at the moment is if mine ever breaks down and can't be repaired I'd definitely buy a new one.
