I found this product to be well made and easy to set up. The rotating head, with the provided pin used as a bearing, turns very smoothly for positioning, and can be locked solid with the Allan key and rotating screw. The aluminium frame is lightweight and strong. The provided pegs are fine for grass, but stronger ones will be required for hard standing. There is no need to pay more unless, perhaps, you have a very large dish.

Excellent product, very lightweight, easy to install and align dish.
I use this when away in the Caravan and it is very sturdy with the adjustable spread of the legs making it very stable in strong winds. My dish is only 43cm so cannot coment on larger dish sizes but I am sure it would be OK for any portable dish.

I bought this tripod to mount the satellite dish that I bought for the touring caravan. I used it for the first time in early October up in the Lake District, when the weather was wet and windy, so I was concerned whether the tripod/dish would be stable enough - I needn't have worried! The three legs spread out wide to form a very stable base and three metal pegs were provided which fitted through a hole in the end of each leg to secure it firmly to the ground - this made the tripod rock solid. I had no need to adjust/re-secure the assembly for the duration of our stay during some pretty wild weather! When it was time to pack up and leave, it took only minutes to dis-assemble and pack it back in it's box. I would recommend this product without reservation.
