1.0 out of 5 stars Not impressed. Wouldnt recommend 31 July 2009
What can I say?

1) It doesn't look anything like the one pictured above. The one sent to me is brown not black. It doesn't have a push button but instead has a turn switch.

2) It doesn't support half of my screen resolutions, so unless you have an old pc this really isn't of much use.

3) Im getting terrible ghosting on the picture.

All in all pretty worthless.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this. 18 July 2009
Do not buy this switchbox unless you have really old (1980's or early 1990's) monitors. I tried the one I just bought and it stops the monitors from working in anything but 640x480. I decided to investigate further and removed the cover to check the wiring and found out that pin 11 is not connected. For those of you that don't know pin 11 supplies the information about the monitors capabilities i.e. what screen modes and frequencies it supports. This switch as it's sold is a hunk of junk and is heading for my bin.

1.0 out of 5 stars Noisier than a South African with a vuvuzela 16 Oct 2010

Before I had the glorious 19" monitor that I use with it's hugely convenient dual inputs, I languished with a 17" that only had a single VGA input. Wanting to use both my Xbox and my PC but not wanting to have to fiddle around the back changing cables all the time, I decided a switchbox was the answer. After some browsing and tutting at the price of some of the other switches I splashed not a lot of cash on this one. Frankly, it's awful. It's made of what I can only describe as spraypainted tin cans, the buttons look like they came off a 1991 mobile phone and I'm sure that it's about as magnetically shielded as a grapefruit. The screen noise (to explain the title) is unbelievable. It's like someone gave a two year old access to a can of spray paint and then pointed them in the direction of my monitor. Don't buy this. It's poor quality tat that will only drive you to unheard of levels of frustration.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says on the box 3 Jan 2014

Great gadget.
I use two for switching two twin-screen computers on to the same two screens - half the desk space required.
Just need to make sure the selector is set to the computer you are planning to use BEFORE starting it up. Once the PC is booted, you can switch between them freely.
