Good receiver but will it "fit",
By
This review is from: Konig FTA DVB-T Scart Receiver (Electronics)
I have purchased 2 of these devices and with the first it matched requirement exactly. It was easy to install and set up, and being a "bloke", I didn't look at the instructions at all. However when I came to fit the second one it would not fit into my 20" Sony TV. The SCART socket on the TV is mounted inside a recess in the back and thus the device was too long to fit into the recess. A flexible or rotating end piece would have been useful. I ended up having to mount it with a SCART extension lead - it still worked very well but defeated my objective of having an unobtrusive unit.

Works Right From the Box,

This review is from: Konig FTA DVB-T Scart Receiver (Electronics)
I needed a simple Freeview tuner to replace a Humax PVR which had been moved to another room. The Humax only worked with either an outdoor aerial or a high gain loft aerial and mast head amplifier. The Konig works well with a simple indoor aerial and loft amplifier, 40 miles from the Oxford transmitter.Set up is a little hit and miss as there are several abbreviations used in the menus with no explanation. The only problem I had was geting rid of subtitles but trial and error fixed this. I guess that I spent around ten minutes setting up the unit and deleting unwanted channels. The remote control needs less aiming than the Humax did and its receiver easily tucks away. This is a great little product and I'm going to get another one to replace a very old and energy wasting On Digital box on a bedroom TV.

TV sucess Litary failure,
This review is from: Konig FTA DVB-T Scart Receiver (Electronics)
Fatastic bit of kit - worked as hoped, but what a failure the instruction manual is.Too small to read without magnifying glass. Illustrations of screen views virtually unreadable. Not comprehensive either on the pieces of equipment, no mention of IR sensor, or of the menu system and its use. If you have used and set up similar equipment you can fathom it out, but even then getting in to turn off the sub titles or to retune etc. is an obstacle course first time round.
