"Extension Cable USB 2.0 with 2 Port Ball Base Hub"
Not quite! Read the technical description carefully because this device isn't really a two port hub. Only one of the two ports is true USB; the other one is just a power point for flashing lights and vacuum cleaners and all the other useless gadgets you can plug into USB ports these days. I suppose you could use it to charge an MP3 player.
To add further confusion, the two I got had their labels reversed. A memory stick plugged into the data port at the front flashed briefly but did nothing. Just out of interest, I plugged it into the power port on top and it worked! This mistake actually makes the device more useful because the top port is easier to use.
On the credit side, this 'hub' looks well made and the ball base is heavy so it'll most likely stay where you put it. It's a whole lot better than an ordinary extension cable stuck down with blu-tack and the extra cost is minimal. I'm thinking of buying a few more.
