If this toy were sturdier, it would get 5 stars. Some other, tougher, fiber should replace the straw.
My cat loves it - feathers, wicker, and catnip? she's in heaven! - but the straw is not tough enough to actually stand being played with. After a few days, she'd torn it; today I came home to find a sad lump of eviscerated plaything, catnip entrails strewn about. It's been less than a month since I bought it, and my cat's a lazy lump. The similar items in Kong's "Kong Naturals" range seem to be constructed similarly, so I won't be buying any of those to replace it.
If you can afford to replace your cat's toys frequently, then this toy is fine. If, however, you're expecting a Kong-brand toy to live up to the brand's reputation, prepare for disappointment.
