Pro Tennis WTA Tour offers the full gamut of lobs, smashes and replies within an extremely accessible and addictive arcade game. 20 of the world's finest women stars have lent their names and playing styles to the game, with the likes of Martina Hingis, Serena Williams, Lindsay Davenport and box star Jelena Dokic closely recreated. Each character also benefits from a number of individual moves, with each player's accuracy and skill rated according to their WTA (Womens' Tennis Association) seedings.

Pro Tennis WTA Tour is also a fully featured title, offering a wealth of game options. Singles and Double friendlies can be played against any of the 20 WTA stars. Four major tournaments are also on offer, success in which will see the player rising through the WTA ranks. The game also benefits from a brilliant four-player mode facilitating wildly entertaining Doubles matches.

This level of detail also extends to the assorted shots. Players are given total control over the placing and style of each shot, allowing them to position serves with pinpoint accuracy, add top-spin to returns and slice shots to out-fox the world's great female players. Likewise, Pro Tennis WTA Tour features different court surfaces, which also affect the bounce and spin of the ball.

This is a great game but the controls sometimes frustratingly lock like when you go to smash it your player won't move.
Apart from the control problems it has great gameplay and has a great choice of characters, though Anna Kournikova does not make an appearence. The tournement mode is excellent too, every time you complete a tournement you get a new court, and the courts are great. There is a wide variety of shots but sometimes the lob doesn't work. It has a great serving feature. The controls are realy easy to pick up. You can play singles and doubles and you can set your opponents difficulty level. You can choose from 1, 3 and 5 sets in exhibition mode but in tournement mode you have to play best of 3 sets. This is an excellent game the graphics and soung are breathtaking. I hope my reveiw has helped you

If you want to reproduce tennis play or spectacle in any way, shape or form, don't go for this. As anyone who has followed tennis for more than five minutes knows, "net" is only called out to clarify the fact that the ball skimmed or hit the net before it went over DURING the SERVE. In this came, 'net' is called out during the point, when you fail to get it over - and printed in big letters. It's totally innappropriate and distracting, and you would have thought it not too hard for the programmers to get the very basics of tennis scoring right rather than following completely ignorant misconceptions....... Out of Five: Graphics: 3. Sound effects: 1 Playability: 2 Realism and Control of Shots: 0.5 Options to change type of match or tournament, court options and career options: 5
