For years the Demon Tower has beckoned you and, today, on your fifteenth birthday, you have come of age. Do you follow in your father's footsteps and enter the Tower or live a peaceful life in the town of Monsbaia - it's time to choose.
Play the role of an apprentice monster tamer searching a magical tower for demon eggs to collect and grow. Once collected, these eggs can be sold for profit or raised into friendly helpers that'll aid you in your exploration of the higher reaches of the tower.
With a flexible story system, that allows you to build a prosperous town using earned funds, and a random map generator that makes each foray into the tower a new experience, Azure Dreams will keep fans absorbed for hours in a game that combining traditional RPG elements with monster raising and city building.

yet another Rpg? maybe not....,

Used to own this game, in the age of high school. Me and a friend bought it thinking it was just yet another plain rpg, how wrong, the ideaof expanding your town is great wih race tracks, casino's etc, then the 40 hazadours leveles of the monster tower, it was begining to become a bit of a habbit, played it for hours on end, finding a neat way to get infinate money (save the game before going to the races, find out who wines, reset it and go back and bet on the one that previously won! - easy money...)Im now collecting all the old title's i used to own on psone - final fantsay (7, anthology, etc, etc), Vandal hearts, Suikoden (1 +2) etc, and rpg haven. If your looking for a game you can easily get lost in with hours upon hours of endless fun the look no further, this is the one! P.S: if anyone has any old psone rpg's (jap imports etc) e-mail me. cheers. J

I bought the psone version many years ago to keep my sons happy, who were big on rpgs, while I'm a dedicated adventure gamer. Inevitably, I loaded it up and was instantly, and very surprised to be, addicted- it's one of those rare games which are easily accessible to newbies and has multiple approaches to how you play it. If you've never tried it, buy it; you won't be disappointed! My family finished up with an on-going 3-way contest to see who could get to the highest level of the tower, an honour which fell to my youngest (who it turns out still has the original copy). Seriously, this has got to be one of the best anime style ideas which ever made it to the UK, and even if you only ever play the early levels as a time-waster it is really worth the money! (The dragons are cute as well). It's a real joy to find this still available.
