Product Description

Capture your images or video as they happen without missing a moment. Offering blazing fast performance, Komputerbay Class 10 memory cards are fully compatible with the latest SD 3.0 specifications, which call for a minimum sustained write speed of 10 MB per second. This is a significant performance upgrade over earlier SDHC standards and is fast enough to record high-definition 1920 x 1080 resolution video. As a result, Komputerbay SDHC cards easily keep up with the most demanding photography and video equipment, making them ideal for both new digital SLR users and seasoned professionals. Each card is built to keep your data safe, with a write protection switch that prevents users from accidentally overwriting important files. They are designed to allow you to easily upload, download, store and capture images, music and data in your digital camera, audio player, PDA, or other handheld devices. These non-volatile, durable cards are designed to perform over a wide temperature range while being extremely shock resistant.

Don't normally write reviews but felt had to with this product. I bought in 2011 for £41 so it wasn't the cheapest at the time compared to the prices of today. With relatively low usage it failed when viewing pics taken from my Nikon D7000 on PC. The card had the lock on to avoid accidental deletion of any pics at the time. The PC then asked for the card to be formatted. Where's my pics gone? Ok after trying various recovery software contacted Amazon who gave details for Kombuterbay who did replace the card under warranty. Am I going to trust this card? Apart from the different colour I suspect the internals to be the same (unless Kombuterbay notifies me otherwise) this card will most likely fail. This is the first card I had fail out of about 15 purchased over the years.

Item dispatched and received extremely quickly after order placed.

SD Card used for recording HD film in Panasonic camcorder.

Used extensively on holiday and no problems experienced at all.

SD Card recognised by Laptop, Panasonic Blu-Ray and TV with no problems.

Nice to have card reader as a backup in case of recognition problems but
not required as yet.

For the price paid I think this item is a bargain.

OK, So received this yesterday and have been busy testing it fully.
Ran h2testw three times - no errors.
write speed a shade under 25 mb/s and
read 55 mb/s
That's based on testing ALL the available free space.

I used the sd card reader on my E6430 dell laptop which has an 128g ssd drive

I ordered Komputerbay 32Gb SDHC fulfilled by Amazon thinking it was a bargain. went to a very impotent event (for me) and took lots of photos. 3 days back in another event when I wanted to take some more photos, there was an error message "memory card requires format". I was so gutted but could not do anything, as I get what I paid for.
Now every one from first event ask me to send them their photos, and for this moment I just avoid them as am so afraid to tell them what append ( I knew in some point, I have to tell them what happened). This brand Komputerbay might have worked for some of you guys, but a friendly advise based on my own experience:
be very afraid of cheap stuff specially in case of video and photography, because if it goes wrong, all photos from your precious memories will be lost for ever and regretting will do you no good at all, and no money can replace your memories. do yourself a favour and just pay a few quid extra; buy a memory card from a reputable brand 'Sony, Samsung, Toshiba, Sandisk' and do not regret as I do now.

I bought two of these to use with my Nikon D7100 which supports SDXC cards and in both cases the camera reported that these cards could not be formatted. I formatted them to exFAT in Win8 and tried to use them but the camera then basically said, 'Cannot use these memory cards'.

These will be going back. Should've spent the extra and bought sandisk

I have read reviews regarding this company and have not seen one that criticised their products in any way that concerned me regarding quality or product efficiency. I received a follow-up-to-purchase email from Komputer Bay, however, suggesting that I have been "brave" to risk buying from a "little known company". The email went on to request me to review the product and give it a star rating of my choice on Amazon, which I am very happy to do.

I own, in fact, two Komputer Bay memcards, the newest being an SDXC of 64GB, the oldest being a 32GB SDHC, both are Class 10. I haven't used the 64GB card extensively yet which is why I am giving it four stars rather than five, though I have no immediate complaints about it. The 32 GB SDHC is installed in my Fujifilm X-S1 camera and I have been using it for about the last ten months with no qualms about its performance, speed or picture quality whatsoever. Had I been asked to judge the SDHC card I would happily give it five stars. It would make sense I suppose to have installed the higher technological level card in my camera upon receipt of it, but as I had no problems with the 32GB, and it has many photos on it - but is no where near full - I have continued to use it. One of the attractions in purchasing the Computer Bay 64GB SDXC card was its price: I had expected to pay a pretty hefty price for this type of card (some of the better known companies charge over £100). The Computer Bay card, at £28 via Amazon seemed a very much better deal, and of course you have the Amazon return policy to consider too as part of the bargain.

To sum my purchase up fairly, allowing for ownership of another Computer Bay product and the purchase price of my latest acquisition, it is fair to assess the quality of the SDXC card as being in the "So far, so good" bracket!

I purchased this Komputerbay 64GB SD card as a large backup for my normal shooting SD card. It's come in really handy so far, not only as a camera spare, but it's so large it serves as a nifty way of moving/storing files temporarily.

Would recommend not only the card, but Komputerbay for their swift response and shipping.

The product is perfect for a few uses. I got mine a year ago and used it 15/20 times (by use it I mean insert it on the camera slot and then remove and insert it on the MacBook Pro SD slot) and it's falling apart. I actually got 2 cards and both of them have the same problem, first the top plastic part broke and now the little plastic parts that divide the part from where the card connects with the computer are breaking one by one.

I can still use the card (it functions very well) but I have to be very careful for not leaving unwanted plastic parts inside my MBP or my camera.

I'm a careful person and I've owned Verbatim and Tranced SD cards for 5 years, both fine to this day.

I would recommend you to buy this if you insert it on the camera and never take it off. If you're going to use it in more than one device, buy another brand.
