I bought this to use with an HD satellite receiver with sound played through an amp and external speakers. With this setup I am very happy with it. Picture quality is very good, particularly with HD transmissions and the unit is very thin and light, so it is very easy to wall mount and takes up little space.
Using it straight out of the box was disappointing though. Although it is an HD tv it comes with an SD tuner, so there is no upscaling available which would improve SD picture quality no end. Colour balance was difficult if not impossible to get right. Sound quality is perhaps understandably poor due to the depth of the box.
Setup presented no problems and I didn't have to refer to the manual which is available online.
One slight niggle is that the DVD only operates when it is selected from the Input menu. This can be done using the buttons on top of the box (but as it is now wall mounted they can no longer be seen) or from the remote. It would have been preferable to have the DVD activate automatically when a disc is inserted. It is worth noting that the disc has to be inserted with the printed surface facing away from you. This is not mentioned in the manual.
