5.0 out of 5 stars THE Kodu Book 18 May 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This will be the definitive Kodo book. Just what I have been waiting for.

This will help me learn how to teach it to others but could also be used by an enthusiastic self teacher/learner.

It's quite a large book, but the numerous screen shots make it quite a fast page turner. The content is well presented and well laid out. It's very up to date, and its 24 chapters teach all you could wish to know - and more.

The 'follow me' style is well explained and easy to use.

All in all a great book for PC and games machine Kodu users.

5.0 out of 5 stars Become a creator not a user 15 Nov. 2013

Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Bought this book for my son and have now bought it for his friends. Easily accessible for age ten - helps boys generate their own games as well as enjoying how to play them. A really good start for those wanting to think as programmers.

My 3 home educated daughters age 9+10 think Kodu is 'Epic' they have spent hours coding games without even knowing they are learning to code. Hats off to Microsoft and the team for such a great piece of free software. I got them started using this book and the you tube video available. Now they are referencing this book and teaching me the things they have learnt. They are all creative and love Minecraft but Kodu has been the next step at far they are concerned.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for kids starting to program 28 Dec. 2013
By MrZipf
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Bought a copy of this for my 10 year old son. He read it cover-to-cover over Christmas and Boxing days. He has come away totally enthused and full of ideas for games to design and build. A very well composed book - good mix of writing and screenshots to aid the neophyte user. Super!
