Does all your footage start and end with camera shake and handling noise on the audio track? This little remote will change all of that by activating the camera controls without touching the record button, just switch the camera on, put it on a tripod and capture your perfect footage and audio.
Its also great for watching your footage back on the tv from your favorite arm chair .
Highly recommended for the film maker/editor as it saves hours of editing by not having to trim every clip.

please note that this remote does work and is compatible with zx5 playsport. in record mode it will only start and stop record, the camera needs to be plugged in to a TV USING THE HDMI LEAD BEFORE THE PLAYBACK FAST FOWARD SKIP AND DELETE ETC functions of the remote will work. NO PLAYBACK REMOTE CONTROL FUNCTIONS WILL WORK IF NOT CONNECTED TO A TV this is not a design fault and is how kodak intended the remote to work........ this has been confirmed by kodak support

This is a very useful little control, the sensitivity and range can change slightly depending on whether your indoors or out, but not enough to make me send it back. Interestly i can see that no one has commented on the fact it can change my kodak playsport to record colour, black and white, sepia. I ahve no idea why or how but when i press the little video camera button on the control it changes....good or bad i don't really know.
However i would highly recommend this as it does reduce the shake you quite often get when you start recording, plus it means i can put my gorillapod video tripod in an obscure place and record from down on the ground which is very useful!!

Pointless
Unfortunately this remote does not do most of what it says it does. All it did for me with my Play Full, was to record and stop.

BEWARE! Does NOT work with Kodak Playsport ZX5

the remote is nicly made but you can only really use it for the other kodak cams as i got the X5 i only need it to start and stop the filming , or take a photo . Read more

This remote is designed for playsport ZX3 - the only button that works with the ZX5 is the start stop button.

Kodak Remote for pocket camera
This is a brilliant little item and allows me use the camera in a far better way. It aslo saves be a load of time on edits etc.

kodak remote control for pocket video and digital camera
very handy , it switches the camera on and of, that's what it's mainly handy for, over 5 foot distance seems to give a problem, however it does the job
