Product Description

This is a 36 exposure roll of 35mm Kodak Professional Portra 400 color negative film. It is a high-speed film that can be used in a wide variety of venues and for a wide variety of purposes. It delivers exceptional color saturation and features fine grain and a high degree of sharpness. With this updated version of Portra, highlight and shadow detail are no problem and, as a result of its excellent T-Grain structure, making large prints is not a problem. For the portrait or fashion photographer, this is a choice film that produces wonderful and pleasing skin tones. If you prefer landscapes or action shooting, this film works well even when your ambient light level is reduced. In addition, the 400 speed offers you more control of your depth of field. The advanced technology that goes into this film includes improvement in the cyan and magenta layers as well as an enhanced T-Grain emulsion. Note! Portra 400 Film replaces the existing Kodak Professional Portra 400NC and 400VC Films Benefits Fine grain high-speed color negative film Incorporates entertainment imaging's Kodak Vision film technology Ideal for scanning Extraordinary enlargement capability from a 35mm negative Beautiful, natural skin tones and superb color reproduction Optimized sharpness Distinct edges, fine detail Printing compatible with other Kodak films Technology Incorporates entertainment imaging's Kodak Vision film technology Antenna dye sensitization in cyan and magenta emulsion layers Kodak's proprietary targeted advanced development accelerators Micro-structure optimized T-Grain emulsions Optimized emulsion spectral sensitivity and image modifier chemistry Kodak's proprietary DIR couplers Unified emulsion technology

Using a Yashica Mat TLR this film is my favourite out of all I have tried, from the Ektar 100 (another nice film, but not as forgiving as this film) to Ilford and Fuji.

This is great for newbies to 120 medium format - its easy and extremely flexible in lots of conditions, I've pushed and pushed this film to its limits and it always seem to reward me with great shots.

great every day film use in my opinion and I always have rolls kicking around for all kinds of conditions.

Highly recommended, the tones are great, real vintage quality, on the Mat the pictures are sharp and beautiful on this film

I was hesitant to go for Kodak Portra owing to the fact i seldom do portraits, but i heard such good things about this film i had to try it, I shoot landscapes, reportage and urban settings. The 400 is a wonderful film, very fine grain, scans great but its the colours and tone that is really impressive. Its more saturated than you'd think and it has a beautiful pallete overall, natural but harmonized. The 160 is much more portrait toned and for me doesnt work as well for my type of photography. Fantastic film!

This is a wonderful film for portraits. It produces beautiful skin tones and excellent colours. Easy to scan, unlike most negative films.
