The rugged design, simple ergonomic controls and compact size enables full 1080p HD video recording in just about any environment. Equipped to shoot in bright highly reflective situations the PLAYSPORT has a choice of two filters which act as a built-in anti glare shield to help you view your subject on-screen and an additional blue filter provides colour correction to footage shot underwater. The PLAYSPORT’S high speed processor adjusts exposure and autofocus quickly and with smart face tracking technology and built in image stabilisation you’ll get the best possible quality razor sharp results. Even in difficult low-light conditions the PLAYSPORT delivers incredible performance thanks to KODAK IMAGING SCIENCE technology.

You can select video resolution simply by clicking the left and right arrows on the central controller selecting 1080p, 720p 60fps, 720p 30 fps, WVGA or a 5MP still camera for high quality 16:9 HD stills. The biggest advantage of the high resolution 1080p is that it’ll look great when blown up. This isn’t so important if you only view video on a small window on your PC screen but with PLAYSPORT footage you can scale the video to full screen and retain image sharpness and for the best possible picture PLAYSPORT has HDMI connectivity so you view the videos on your HDTV. A complementary HDMI cable means you’re ready for screening on your HDTV right out of the box and it doesn’t matter if you own a MAC or a PC – the PLAYSPORT is compatible with both.

PLAYSPORT has been designed so you’ll never miss the moment. Whilst many minicamcorders feature small internal memories, the PLAYSPORT has an SD card slot which can take upto a 32GB SDHC card good for upto an incredible 10 hours of video at HD 30fps (1GB = 20mins). And if you run out of memory on the go you can simply change to a new card. Powered by a rechargeable Li-Ion battery, the PLAYSPORT, delivers a longer record time than camcorders using AA batteries and features the flexibility of in-camera charging from a mains socket or via USB.

On the go you can view your clips on the very usable 2 inch LCD screen and find the best bits using the four speeds of fast forward and rewind, up to x16, or simply go forward or back frame by frame. Sharing online is quick and easy too. The PLAYSPORT comes with ArcSoft MediaImpression software which is automatically installed when you connect to your PC via the USB cable which is included in the box. The software is incredibly easy to use and features an easy one button upload to YouTube, Facebook and Vimeo. You can also re-format your video clip to the best resolution for sending on email at the touch of a button. To put you in the directors chair there’s a basic ‘movie maker’ feature which allows you to add text screens for a titles at the beginning and credits end of the movie, edit clips, sequence a number of clips to tell your story and add music. A media convertor also makes it easy to transcode your videos for viewing on other common devices like an iPod or Kodak picture frame and you can burn DVD’s for viewing on TV and archiving.

Uploading your videos is easy too, simply connect the PLAYSPORT to your PC with the USB cable and your video will be automatically uploaded and ready to use! The ArcSoft software is not Mac compatible, but if you own a Mac its easy to transfer your videos simply buy dragging and dropping to your desktop as you would for any USB device and you can edit your video using iMovie.

No need to buy any extra cables or batteries. Included with the PLAYSPORT is a rechargeable Li-Ion battery and HDMI and composite AV cables however although there is 128MB of internal memory on the PLAYSPORT you’ll need to buy an SDHC card to shoot a useful length of video.
