5.0 out of 5 stars Pixpro AZ521. 19 May 2014

This is amazing value - A 52X optical Zoom for the price of a car tyre !!
It seems to be about half the price of any equivalent camera on the market. Although manufactured under licence from Kodak, it features a development on the traditional Kodak cameras - I have a Z612. It doesn't have an eye level viewfinder, but if you a taking long shots on a tripod, then you would not be able to use one anyway. Shutter lag seems minimal.
I have already taken a shot at 208 zoom, which is fully in focus. It has lots of sophisticated features, which I am still exploring. Highly recommended. Pete.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb kit for an Amateur 17 Jun 2014
Although not an experienced photographer i have already take some really good photos. Worth reading the manual - the automatic settings are fine but there is so much other stuff it seems a waste not to take advantage!! Super quality and very robust.

A brilliant camera. The only thing is that I had to return mine as it had a charging problem , although Sound And Technology were great to deal with.

I upgraded from Kodak as321 2 months back. The picture quality is really great. Lots of manual and preset options. What I like most is the panorama and continuous image feature.

3.0 out of 5 stars Questionable 20 Dec 2013
By Stormy1 - Published on Amazon.com
I actually purchased this digital camera elsewhere as it was over $250 cheaper elsewhere for a new version of this Kodak digital camera AZ-521. This camera reminds me of my Olympus SP-820UZ digital camera, but with a considerably larger optical zoom lens. Camera seems rather easy to use and photo quality seems acceptable. It's no DSLR camera and photo quality is typical super zoom point & shoot quality, which is fine with me. The only issue I have is that it's rather hard to locate a replacement battery for this camera as this is a fairly new Kodak camera model and not even sure if this is a true Kodak camera. I have read other reviews elsewhere and the indications is that it is made in China by JK. I have had no prior cameras from this company and was questionable about this camera at first. My prior Kodak digital cameras had shutter lag that was bad, except for the Z-612 which had no shutter lag....but this one seems better and again this Kodak digital camera seems on-par with my current Olympus SP-820 UZ digital camera for picture quality and speed....which is pretty decent overall for the month I have had this Kodak camera.
I recommend this digital camera if general photography is what you need it for. I have not tried the video on this camera yet, so I cannot comment on it. Anyways, photos seems to come out good with this camera and optical zoom is good.
This camera gets a 3 of 5 star rating from me.

3.0 out of 5 stars No replacement battery available 14 Feb 2014

Camera came with only one re-chargeable battery with instructionsindicating no other type should be used. I attempted to secure a back up battery by going online (accessed numerous websites to no avail). No one seems to carry this type of rechargeable battery. If the one I have fails or is lost for some reason, I will be unable to use the camera.

5.0 out of 5 stars This camera exceeded my expectations..big time! 8 July 2014

As a long time camera buff, I've shot many film and digital cameras over the years and appreciate a well featured camera with good performance. This Kodak AZ521 is a absolute gem with it's fast and easy focus, 9 frames per second capable (burst mode), incredible 52X optical zoom, 16 MP CMOS sensor, 3" LCD screen that's also easy to view in bright sun with adjustable settings, very good picture quality (on par with the highly rated Canon SX50 and Nikon P530), excellent macro, very good image stabilization for photos and video, HD video at 1080P, good battery life of which I estimate to be 350 shots or so. It's a easy to shoot camera with a quick and easy to change menu with lots of various modes and scenes to make difficult or challenging shooting situations a breeze.

This camera surprised me, and in a very good way as it retains the rich and saturated Kodak colors that people love and combined with it's rock solid image quality, this will make it a excellent choice for families or travel. The zoom is incredible and really useful. More than happy with my AZ521!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value camera 3 April 2014
By Jayesh Patel - Published on Amazon.com
For the price, this is a great camera. It has 50x zoom and works well.
I have used many cameras- point and shoot and DSLRs too. I needed a long zoom camera for taking photo on hikes. In good light, this camera takes good photos. Like any P&S camera, it doesn't do a good job indoor or for indoor sports photography.
Earlier I had Panasonic FZ28 which took great photos and had 18x zoom. This kodak seems to take as good photos plus it has 50x zoom.
