A press of the DX4530 camera's red-jewelled "Share" button allows a person to immediately select printing, e-mailing, and mark as favourite options for each picture, and on-camera sharing is made simple with a bright, 1.8-inch indoor/outdoor LCD screen. The DX4530 comes with 32 MB internal memory plus a MultiMediaCard/SD Card expansion slot to permit additional picture taking or extended digital video recording.
The EasyShare DX4530 camera works with the new Printer Dock 4000 as well as the EasyShare camera docks I and II for one-touch picture transfer and battery recharging.
Like the entire range of EasyShare cameras, the DX4530 includes Kodak EasyShare software for Windows and Macintosh systems, providing quick, effortless digital picture transfer, organization, editing, e-mailing, sharing and printing. The software's exclusive One Touch to Better Pictures feature--which takes advantage of proprietary colour technologies developed by Kodak--helps Windows OS users get vibrant, true-to-life prints from home inkjet printers, while reducing the trial, error and waste usually associated with home photo printing.

I recent bought this excellent Kodak camera because it fitted several criteria:
(1) It uses SD card (commonest media: I can interchange with my PDA/ Palm) & even view/edit pictures on my PDA.
(2) Uses AA batteries. This was exceptionally important because I am not tied to using a particular manufacturer's brand of batteries. And when I run out of batteries or forget to bring the spare batteries/charger, I could use normal AA batteries which can be purchased from anywhere. I do realise that as such, the camera is more bulky and battery life is not as good compared to the other cameras which use Lithium batteries. But this Kodak camera size is quite manageable and I need the reassurance of alternative battery power.
(3) There is option of using other Kodak accessories (i.e. docks for easy download/charging/printing) which is entirely optional.
(4) Reasonable price (i.e. less than £200)
Plus Points
-Excellent value for money: There is no other camera of 5 million pix for under £200 at present, which is what I paid for mine. Amazon does do the best deal
-32 MB internal memory is a real bonus
-Excellent photo quality
-Very easy to use to take photos
-Able to take continuous movies with audio (only limited by memory card & battery life)
Minus Points
-Very flimsy lens cap. Comes off easily & is a pain to take off & to put on.
-Flimsy SD card cover but not as bad as the cap
-Does not come with camera case
-‘Plastic’ look…not the best aesthetically
-Does not 'remember' flash settings: the camera flash settings will revert to autoflash mode every time it is turned on/off. Annoying when you want to cut the flash off all the time.
-Limited range of settings/shutter speeds. But, what is available is good enough for me (auto, macro, night, moving objects, scenery & movie).
All in all, this is an excellent camera, especially for beginner/amateurs but please bear in mind its shortfalls. The most appealing thing is the ease of use, good picture quality, extremely high resolution (5MP) & cheap price. Thanks, Eddie Tan
It is easy to use and produces images that will challenge any low range pro camera. You will need to by a minimum of a 64mb memory card and some decent batteries, otherwise you will be caught short, and a mini kodak tripod is recommended too. I use this camera for a whole host of activities, such as work, travel and in my line of work, stuff gets tested to the limits and beyond. IT has to be tuff and durable, and then still take great photos.
Ok so it looks ugly compared to others, feels like something you could throw for a mile and looks like something that wouldn't survive a 2 inch drop. But if you're intent on buying a camera because it looks good, you're an idiot.
This camera delivers first rate pictures (have plenty of hard disk space free! av. of 1MB per shot!), is easy to use (can be used straight out the box) and can rotate pictures the right way up of it's own accord which is very useful.
Only moan is there aren't many manual settings on it, a lot of it is set automatically through the preset shooting modes. But to be fair, who wants to fiddle for 5 mins to take the perfect shot - by the time you've set the camera up the moment has passed anyway!
End verdict: EXCELLENT Digital Camera, certainly the best camera you'll find for this type of price.
5 mega pixels and exceptional picture quality
