Award winning printer delivers better connectivity and better value

Awarded BEST BUY by Which Magazine in August 2010 the Kodak ESP7250 makes it easier and more affordable than ever before to print, copy and scan. And thanks to the amazingly simple Wi-Fi setup and direct printing from an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad you get great connectivity too.

Fed up with expensive printer ink?

When buying a printer price will often be a major factor. But with expensive ink cartridges your total costs are not always clear and can come as a bit of a shock later on when you start using the printer. Kodak All-in-One printers are different, they have the lowest total ink replacement costs in the industry.1

All Kodak printers use the same two cartridges, providing a total of six individual inks. The colour cartridge costs £11.99 RRP2 and delivers 420 pages3, each colour cartridge contains five inks – cyan, magenta, yellow, a photo black and a clear gloss giving your prints that unmistakable photo lab look. The black cartridge for text documents costs £6.99 RRP2 and delivers 425 pages.4 For high volume mono text printing there is also an XL black cartridge which costs £11.49 RRP2 and delivers 770 pages4 meaning fewer cartridge changes.

Tests show that with Kodak printers you can save up to £75 on ink year after year5. So say goodbye to overpriced ink and enjoy Kodak’s low-cost, high quality pigment ink cartridges that give you all the bright colours and sharp text you’d expect for just a fraction of the price.

All testing was done independently to ISO standards by QualityLogic, who have provided testing services for the printing industry for over 20 years. QualityLogic are a world-leading expert in printer testing and were integral in developing the international standard (ISO) for measuring print cartridge performance.

Best-in-Class print longevity

Most consumer inkjet printers use dye based inks, but Kodak printers use pigment based inks that provide superior longevity. More than 100 years of Kodak image science research lies behind Kodak’s patented pigmented inks and advanced micro porous photo paper technology. This results in best-in-class image stability together with the brilliant colour and exceptional image quality Kodak is known for. According to Wilhelm Imaging Research (WIR), a leading independent print permanence testing laboratory, Kodak All-in-One printers are ‘best in class’ achieving the highest level of overall print permanence of any current consumer desktop printer system. Other printer brands suggest you keep your photos under glass and out of the light to prevent fading but Kodak photos will last a lifetime6, with no catches.

Best in-class print permanence

For even better results Kodak All-in-One printers use an additional clear protective gloss ink which is applied in variable amounts depending on the amount of colour ink on each photo delivering a beautiful uniform gloss finish to the photo whilst also improving stain protection and smudge and scratch resistance. No other brand of consumer inkjet printer uses this technology. And thanks to the combination of pigment inks and micro porous papers, photos dry instantly so they can be handled as soon as they come out of the printer avoiding any possibility of smudges or finger prints.

Outstanding Connectivity and Ease of Use

The Kodak ESP7250 features the latest in Wi-Fi technology with 802.11n for faster connectivity together with one of the simplest Wi-Fi setups in the industry making it easy to connect to your wireless networks at home or in the office and print from multiple devices.

For seamlessly connection to your favorite mobile devices the KODAK ESP 7250 can also receive pictures directly from your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, and print them in an instant. Simply download the KODAK Pic Flick App for iPhone from the Apple App Store.

As well as being easy to set up the Kodak ESP7250 is designed to be incredibly easy to use. The ESP7250 features two paper trays one for photo paper and the other for general purpose paper so you don’t have to keep changing the paper. Intelligent paper sensors automatically detect the amount of paper in each tray and when you print a photo the photo tray simply auto-engages.

A built-in duplexer for two-sided printing saves you time and money. Scanning is easy too, the high resolution optical scanner allows you to scan multiple images simultaneously up to 2400 DPI with the software automatically creating separate image files. The new intuitive control panel on the ESP7250 gives you quick and easy access to tasks you use the most.

I guess I would be classed as a "typical average user". Not techie, but willing to move along with proven technology. My old "home office" printer was slowly becoming unreliable and after 7 years it was time for a change. I wanted wireless, compact, cheap to run, easy to set up and use, inexpensive to purchase, copy/scan and a good quality print for the occasional letters. Researched a number of options personally and via WHICH magazine and also spoke to a number of friends before deciding on this model.
Ordered it late afternoon approaching Christmas so was delighted when it arrived the following morning! Opened the box to find everything there so followed the quick installation guide with the "set up wizard" and I was up and running on my home wireless network within the hour. Easy. Its everything it said it was - and I have now been using it a week and its great. I think its probably going to be one of purchases we make and speak little of as its been stress free and now justs sits there giving no trouble. I will be reminded just how good it is when I need to change the cartridges, at least £15 less than the last printer I had.All in all - delighted.... hope it lasts!!

This machine produces excellent quality photos even using the basic Kodak photo paper. It works quite well with other photo papers as well, (I used Verbatim paper) The main difference being a slightly flatter, less vivid image. There is some very useful picture tweaking software that comes with it. I found this very handy when scanning some very old pictures with a view to archiving them before they faded into oblivion. The image sharpening facility works very well with old pics.
Plenty of copy layout adjustments etc if you need them. The duplexer helps save on paper and the printed copy is excellent.
Its pretty good even in draft. In the interest of ink economy I would recommend leaving the printer switched on permanently, otherwise every time its turned on it goes through a head cleaning cycle which uses ink, Kodak recommend this. Leaving it on for a year costs about £7.50, where as this cost will be more than recuperated several times in ink savings over the same period. The machine goes into a power save mode automatically after an hour or so, and starts up when needed automatically.
Tech back up is good if needed, You can speak to a person on the phone if needed and no long Q. I am very impressed with everything about this machine so far, I hope it keeps it up!

Great Printer 22 Jan 2011
i have looked at many reviews of this printer, most of them saying it was loud. I have had it now for a couple of days printing noise isn't as loud as my old printer (epson dx4850) and isnt disturbing. the included software is easy to use, the printer include a black and colour ink cartridge and 3 pieces of sample photo paper. over all the printer is well built and sturdy (the scanner door is a little bit thin and flimsy). The 2.5" screen displays the amount of paper in the printer, ink levels and wifi signal(printing on wifi is instant, you can also use the screen to print pictures without turning on the computer). overall this printer is great for the price and is packed full of features
