Tri X is a film which has been responsible for some of the most iconic and brilliant photographs in the world.

If you want that classic look, ditch the DSLR for a while, grab a MF camera (or a 35mm one) and go out and shoot.

I develop in Ilford ID11 stock solution at the recommended temp and time and the contrast look everything is simply superb!

Wonderful versatile B&W film 7 Sep 2011
By ELMC - Published on Amazon.com
TriX has been my go-to film for years. It's versatile enough to be pushed or pulled from ISO 100-3200. The classic grain structure is really nice to have and can be very appealing for certain images. The shadow and highlight detail is outstanding on this film, and the emulsion has been consistent for years. I primarily develop in D-76 (rated between 100 and 800) or Diafine (rated at 1250). I've pushed this film to 3200 with okay results. The grain gets very visible at 1600 or 3200, but photos are still reasonably good for these high speeds.

Overall, I am very happy with TriX and will continue to shoot it for many years to come.

A classic 10 May 2011

If you're looking for an extremely versatile B&W emulsion I would highly recommend you take a look at Tri-X. It pushes like a dream and provides a lovely range of tones with a wide latitude. This film both scans and enlarges very well.

This was great film, at a great price. Get it while you still can. I used this in my Holga and the photos were great. It is a classic film stock.
