3.0 out of 5 stars A KID'S FILM... 18 April 2011
I would suppose that children will like it. Fan's of The Big Show will no doubt love it.
Walter is an oversized orphan who finds himself in the ring so that his manager can earn much needed loot. A simple plot. Of course the manager sees the error of his ways and they all live happily ever after.
There has been much criticism of WWE films. This is by no means the worst, but Oscar nominations are unlikely. However, it is great entertainment to keep the children occupied during the holidays, and there are some funny bits. They are unlikely to learn anything bad from it.

Bought this as it was in a sale and was very happily surprised by it. Great film if you want to put something on and not have to think too hard.

A very funny film with a simple to follow plot. The Big Show really puts himself out there for ridicule and pulls it off. It's good to see a more human side to athletes and sports entertainers.

3.0 out of 5 stars Gentle giant kids comedy 7 Aug 2011
The film follows Eddie Sullivan (Mark Feuerstein -Royal Pains) as an ex-figther turned con man/fight trainer, who has fallen into heavy depts with fellow, yet more sucesfull trainer/promoter Memphis Earl (Dennis Farina -Snatch) & his supreme fighter Redrum (Lester Speight -Gears of War 1,2,3 Voice of Augustus Cole). Eddie needs a miracle, and as a last resort goes to church to pray. As luck would have it, he picks the church/orphanage where he stumbles across man mountain Walter Krunk (Paul Wight - Aka WWE wrestler "Big Show") the knuckle head of the title. A gentle giant who has just burnt down the orphanages kitchen & still an orphan infact.

So Eddie persuades Sister Francesca (Wendi Malik - T.v/film voice & support actress), Walter & Mary (Melora Hardin -Monk Trudy Monk) to let him take Walter on the road to train him, and head to the championship fight to win $100,000. With the agreement that half the purse goes to the orphanage for the repairs, they all agree, and Mary joins the pair as a shaperone.

However, the road is long & hard, and they all start learning things about themselves along the way, even Walter finds love in the shape of Tina (Rebecca Creskoff -Finding North). Eventually though, Memphis Earl is worried that Eddie might have a winning figther on his hands, so sets out to persuade him to pull out.
