I got this book after reading that Darren Naish - of fame because of his blog Tetrapod Zoology - had contributed to it. I bought it for my kids as holiday read and it paid off. My 8 year old daughter kept citing curious facts from the book every morning and she told me to get any other books I saw 'like this'. The many photos and illustrations made it interesting for my 5 year old as well. Many topics are covered from astronomy to dinosaurs to the human body.
