I have used the Knosti Disco Anti Static Record Cleaning Machine for years and cleaned thousands of LPs and singles with it. I don't use or buy the fluid that comes with the product, preferring my own recipe. The results are outstanding.
Just to mention that this is the same product as the much reviewed Conrad version of the Disco Anti Static Record Cleaning Machine.CONRAD Disco Antistat Disco Antistat Cleaner
So compare the prices! This one is about £14 cheaper. Don't understand why this has hardly any reviews when the other has dozens.
Also, if you look at the picture, you can see a demonstration of a record stacked on the drainer. However, this is wrong. The records should be stacked at right angles and not at a 45 degree angle. Look at the picture of the box behind and you can just see the correct method.
There are reviews which say that a residue is left behind after cleaning. If you have a problem with this, I recommend adding a photographic wetting agent to your fluid. Also, and I know its sacrilege to some because of static, I use a dust bug when playing for the first time after cleaning, which polishes any remaining residue from the record. Best method of clearing static is with an anti-static gun, which, although expensive, is one of the best bits of kit for a vinyl collector.
