1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy it 1 Aug 2011

Bought it for my wife's occasional rides in town. She used it 4 times total. Today her $300 bike was stolen in a busy street downtown Chicago, right in front of the Merchandise Mart. Bike and lock both disappeared between 11 and 12 AM. Should not be an easy task to do in front of the security cams. Fancy useless tool Knog guarantees safe to lock in a dark alley; 50 points in their own security rating. Ridiculous.

2.0 out of 5 stars all image no substance 30 Jan 2014

It looks really pretty, I havn't seen it in person but i saw a video on youtube and it was chopped in less than a second with average bolt cutters, no fancy tools or skills needed. I was initially interested but after viewing that video showing how easy it is to remove, I wouldn't have this if you paid me and I would not trust this to lock a plant pot in a front garden. for the money you can get integrated armour cable lock which is a lot better than any standard cable. Cable is only good if it's like 20mm and above for security... even better a good hardened chain and u lock can be bought for under $100. It's a well known fact that most bike theft is when thin, whispy twisted cable lock is involved, it takes no time or effort to destroy locks like this. Buy this if you like looking at your bike being locked and enjoy the feeling of false hope, lol.

1.0 out of 5 stars "Fiber Armor" Cuts like Hot Butter 13 May 2011
By djete - Published on Amazon.com
Colour Name:Black|Size Name:74 cm
Bought a couple of Knog's "Kabana" bike locks based on Knog's marketing claim that "their Fiber Core helps deter Bolt Cutter attacks". Decided to use a cheap pair of Chinee bolt cutters to put one of the Knog locks to a test. Boy was I surprised, the Knog "fiber armor" cut like hot butter, [...]

While the colors are cool, the silicone does feel nice and squishy, the theft deterrence of this lock is minimal.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pretty lock, Cuts Easily 29 April 2011
By djete - Published on Amazon.com
Advertised by KNOG to "more resistant to Bolt Cutter Attack". I purchased several Kabana locks, decided to put one to the Bolt Cutter test. It failed miserably, cut like Hot Butter in July! (Posted the test to YouTube.)

This is a nice looking lock. Lots of pretty colors. But the security rating is very low, Buyer Beware.
