Knockout! A Passionate Police Romance [Kindle Edition]

This was an interesting book to read. It's based on Anna who meets Freddy purely by chance who it then turns out she's actually investigating on a recent case but he doesn't know that she's a cop. Its a good story of love and lust travelling across England, France and finally America but a large proportion of it based on lies from her and deception from him. It kept me on the edge of my seat in terms of is he a bad guy or a good guy? The sex scenes are well written and actually play a part within the story rather than being thorwn in for the fun of it. The ending is predictable but for different reasosn than what I orginally thought. Give this book a go if you want a different version of the usual romance stories out there at the moment.

You can't help but be drawn into policewoman Anna's world. She's had it hard professionally and privately and has absorbed herself in being the best cop she can. But she is bowled over, her heart taken, the second she meets Freddie La Salle.

Freddie isn't your usual rough, tough, intellectually challenged fighter. He has brains and brawn and an unexpected tenderness that endears him to the reader.

Their love story is played out against a backdrop of intrigue and double dealings surrounding Freddie's next big fight. Anna has fallen hard for the hunk but can she separate her feelings for him and still do her job when Freddie comes under suspicion?

Beautifully composed - it's worth reading just for the similes! Would recommend!

An acutely electrifying tale that had me sat on the edge of my seat throughout, which totally overwhelmed and shocked me as to how thoroughly exciting and entertaining this story was. With a cast of colorful characters one is swept away into an action-packed adventure, where danger and adrenaline combine in an intoxicating fusion. Highly readable and completely addictive, this fast and furious read had me glued to the pages. Unexpectedly fantastic and totally brilliant, despite being `new' to this genre I was delighted to find how this was an easy-read and so I would highly recommend it. Cop Anna Leyton is sassy, sexy and a distinctly memorable character and combined with Freddie La Salle they make a stand-out pair. Classic contemporary fiction at its best I was most impressed by this punchy, bold book that certainly blew me away...

Having a relationship with a suspect is risky but love is often unexpected and hasty, especially when Anna gives in to lustful desires and overwhelming feelings. Entangling herself within hunky, boxing champion Freddie's life whilst at the centre of an investigation comes with pitfalls as her career hangs in the balance. Beautifully interweaving mystery and suspense with a risky romance, this steaming read will have you melting as heat radiates off the pages. Electric tension and full of twists and turns that keep you guessing, this thrilling tale oozes originality and a distinctive `flair' which is supremely singular. Capturing my attention almost instantly, I found this a hard book to put down and which I read in a single sitting.

If you are looking for an enthralling read that is light, fun and fabulous then I urge you to discover an author whose work is unique and bold. Perfectly balancing the mixture of contemporary drama, action and compelling narrative I certainly feel that the author has got it `spot on' by producing something fresh and current.
