Sort of a long encylopedia entry 18 May 2010
By Joy L. Getha - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I have been getting into textile history, and thought this would be a narrative. Nope. It is a long list of encylopedia-like entries, very brief, of references to knitting. They are in chronological order. A lot of them are simply the word knitting used in the context of healing or bonding, not necessarily the textile work. It starts back in the distant past, and goes to 2007. But it's just a string of references from art and literature, with no narrative or explanation. This might be useful for a historian or technical writer, but it's not very interesting reading.
