About the Author
Sian Brown fell in love with yarn and knitting while studying for her BA in Fashion and Textiles in Cheltenham, UK. She went on to become a knitwear designer, freelancing for commercial companies that supply the high street stores and for swatch companies selling design ideas to the US. Sian has taught at the London College of Fashion on their knitwear course. She now lives in Hastings and designs handknits for several magazines and yarn companies. She is a regular contributor to Knitting magazine.

Nothing wrong with the book but on the whole -no offence to anyone- the projects are not really "my style" or are of no use to me in my own home. If it'd been a "Look inside" book, I know I wouldn't have bought it. Anyway, I finally gave it to a charity shop as it will surely suits someone else.
Fortunately, Amazon sells another book with nearly the same title ("Knitting at Home" by Leanne Prouse). I bought it and am really delighted! I am going to type my review on it.

I bought this book for my mum as a birthday gift, having a look through it I'm glad I bought it for her, it is really nice, there are some lovely projects. The obligatory water bottle cover that seems to be in every knitting book but some other projects are lovely, the leaf cushion on the cover is one, but don't expect anything too modern or different from the norm. Lovely photos, easy to follow instructions good, for the traditional knitter. If your looking for something a bit different, modern and slightly younger style try Knitting at Home by Leanne Prouse.
