This book has clear instructions on techniques for beginner knitters, plus patterns for a fantastically odd selection of items. The projects might seem as if they are only for the daring, but they are designed to encourage you to be truly creative and render just about anything in wool. If you are looking for a way to protect your apples, this is the book for you.

Crazy patterns, bargain price. Inspires you to think beyond the normal and boring with such things as a knitted pint of Guiness, knickers, hand grenade, sandwiches and cake. I may not knit more than one or two of the patterns which is the only reason I knocked off a star but it's worth a look for mad value and is really quite funny. Inspirational.

This is a book of quirky knitting patterns which I bought for the pint of guiness pattern. Unfortunately that pattern is crochet only and I can't crochet (I've tried but I can't). I doubt very much whether I will ever knit anything else in this book.
