This is really a great piece of equipment. I find it just perfect for my sabatier knives, it fits even the long bread knife with ease. I don't have the problem other reviewers have had with the sharpening steel coming through the bottom, in fact everything fits neatly. The label is a pain to remove, in the end I used a spray 'Sticky Stuff Remover' without any ill effects on the wood.

Nice size, good weight, good value. I like the upright style. Only one drawback -- the holes go all the way through the block and I use the scissors hole for the sharpening steel. The hole is at the front, shorter end of the block which means that the steel drags on the work surface. Solved by some neat work with a wine cork, but would be better to have the hole at the back, or not drilled all the way through. Not a problem if you use the hole for scissors as mentioned in the advert!

Super block for 12 knives, cleaver and scissors. As other reviewers have mentioned, the slots go right through so you need to make sure your longer knives go at the back due to the sloping top. At the front, longer knives will protrude through the bottom and scratch your workbench, damage your knives, or even your hand if you pick it up!
Only complaint is that it is supplied with a large label stuck on the front which is difficult to remove, leaving a sticky mess of glue. Reluctant to use any solvents to remove this as may damage the wood. No doubt it will disappear over time, but can look dirty!

Good Value for Money
Good value for money with lots of spaces for my knives, but as mentioned before, the hole for the sharpening steel is at the front, which meant that it dragged onto the worktop. Read more
