I think these headphones offer great sound for the price but only when I fit them in my ears in a particular way. The instructions that came with the headphones suggested 2 methods for placing them in the ear - 'normal' fit or 'sport' fit. I found the 'normal' method slightly uncomfortable and the sound produced lacking in bass and rather 'tinny' (as suggested by other reviews of this product). However, in the 'sport' fitting it was like using a completely different set of headphones - they sat much more comfortably and snugly in my ears and, as a result, the bass produced was much more substantial. I replaced a pair of Sennheiser CXL-400's (internal wiring fault) with these Klipsch headphones, and whilst the Sennheiser's might have produced a slightly more balanced sound, the difference is minimal and certainly acceptable given the price difference. I highly recommend these headphones but be prepared to try fitting them into your ears in different ways until you find the set-up that works best for you!

Having owned akg seinheissers creative and countless other earphones , I wanted something better these are it the klipsch s3 , in my opinion they offer better quality sound across the spectrum without being to bass heavy or swamping sound with bass , nice treble although can have the occasional spike clear midrange ,and clean bass make this the best in price headphones if you get the fit correct 3 size eartips nice fit these go in the ear canal but once in stay in , klipsch have been around for over 60 years and certainly know what there doing .
If you want good sounding earphones that are an upgrade or two from apple or sony packaged mp3 buds these could be for you also think about trying klipsch s4 even better .

klipsch s3
good high end but lacking elsewhere. can get rounded sound by turning up to almost uncomfortable level but for outdoor use not balanced enough. exspect 882 fill the breach.
