Following the Abba break up and the completion of the "Chess" musical both girls caried on with their own solo careers, Bjorn moved to England and Benny began work on this album. Perhaps it went somewhat un-noticed at the time but listening to it now gives a great insight into the musician who created all those classic pop songs.The style of the record borders on classical mixed with swedish folk music and although they seem an unlikely combination the result is outstanding.The opening tracks are really the roots of Benny Andersson,"Inledningvisa" and "Lottis Schottis" are accordion pieces.Students of the Abba years will know the second piece as "Hamlet 111" from the "Abba Undeleted" section of the box set.
This is where it ended up but,for me the highlight of this album is the magnificent title track which concludes the album."Klinga Mina Klockor"
("Ring My Bells")at almost twelve minutes long has swedish text by Bjorn and a choir of female swedish vocalists (Including Frida) performing the most joyous piece of music in absolute precission and harmony.
Benny has lived many musical lives (composer,Hep Star,B&B,producer,ABBA,
and most recently with the Benny Andersson Orkestra)but surely this
collection is where the heart is.Simply awesome.

Bought it for one piece: the chorus in Klinga Mina Klockor

I bought this CD in an attempt to get a good, legal recording of one piece: the chorus in Klinga Mina Klockor. I heard the chorus on U-tube. It is one of the most wonderful musical expressions of joy, purity and jubilee I've ever heard, and that's with Mozart and Handel in the running. I'm glad to have this recording but the chorus is embedded in a lengthy (ll.5 minute) instrumental piece which is not in the same class as the chorus. Also, the recording quality was not as good as I hoped, perhaps monoral. U-tube has several renditions which are as good or better --use keyword "Klinga Mina Klockor". If anyone knows of a high-quality, stereo recording of the chorus, kindly let me know. If none has been made, someone needs to do it. This piece could easily become a global classic for celebrating any joyous festival, a wedding, or the solstices. In the chorus of Klinga Mina Klockor a wonderful invitation to high love has come through Benny Andersson.

Very nice record, lovely music style, B. Andersson from a completely different side through which, nevertheless, the character of Abba's music can be explained because here are its roots.
