This is a sturdy-built plastic toy that is simple to put together (took me about 5/10 minutes from the box). I've seen some cheaper models on the market but they are not as sturdy and don't look as authentic. It comes with plenty of impliments, cutlery and plates. Compared to some other cookers it is a good size so it is about the right height for my 2-year old son - the hob level comes up to about his elbows when he's standing. It's fairly basic with no lights or noises and I was a bit disappointed because although the cooker knobs can be turned, the dials and digital display are stickers and the appearance of some dinner cooking in the oven is also a sticker (from the advert image I thought the oven door was see-through, it isn't). Some toy ovens have oven shelves so you can put several dishes on to cook, this doesn't. However it has been a big hit with my son, his favourite Christmas present, and he has spent many hours playing with it. Overall, it's good value for money.
