Klegg launches its satellites into orbit,
By A Customer
This review is from: Klegg M8 501 Home Theatre Speaker System (Electronics)
Having impressed my friends & family with a Klegg M6 for the last year, I was very pleased to see the arrival of the Klegg M8 system in May, and rushed out to buy one, relegating my M6 to my now seriously well-equipped bedroom! With the M6, Klegg had manufactured the best-looking Home Cinema system on the market for less than £600, but with the M8, they had managed to produce a system that had as much power as a set of floor-standers from speakers that would happily fit inside a teacup! With some sub/sat systems, the musicality of the speakers is compromised as the satellites tend to be small, but with the M8 you get a fully-rounded sound-stage whether listening to music or films. As well as the speakers, the M8 includes a Receiver with Dolby Digital, DTS, MP3 decoding, and an FM/AM radio tuner. But the real beauty is the Dolby Pro-Logic II processing, that turns a TV or Video signal into 5.1 surround sound, making ordinary TV sound as good as DVD. You can connect your DVD-Player, CD-Player, TV, VCR, Digibox etc. to the receiver & use it as the Hub of your Home Entertainment system with the remote control, so this is truly an 'out of the box' solution. In a market full of cheap, plastic speaker-systems the Klegg M8 501, with its reassuringly heavy zinc alloy satellites, looks and sounds like a £1500 system, and is a must-buy for those who want great musicality & power, but don't have the space for large, boxy speakers.
