The unit is smart in appearance, effective and quiet in operation and maintains the selected temperature well. The selection switches are locked after selection to prevent inadvertant changes. The internal light switch is also locked, which requires to be unlocked before operation, why? The Cooler is a single temperature zone unit and operates between 8 and 18 Degrees C. I purchased the cooler to store Red wine for which the temperature range is fine, but for White wines and Champagne you might want a cooler that operates below 8 Degrees C
