I really thought my Kitchenaid blender was dead until I saw this spare part was available. As other people comment elsewhere on the internet, the most difficult bit is getting the old part off. In the end I found a screwdriver was more useful than the spanner supplied. You mustn't be afraid of using a bit of brute force.

I have to say I was slightly apprehensive given the reviews I'd seen for this, that I would actually be able to get my old part off, however it was a doddle.
The instructions on the part didn't work for me, however there are further instructions on the kaparts website and following the 2nd option, part came off easily - just a bit of force required.
There is also a link to a YouTube video on how to do it.
Really pleased I have a working blender! And pleased you get get spare parts so easily.

My blender gave up in a spectacular way and I took it to my local repair shop where the lovely guys told me to order the part from amazon. Easy to use...blender saved!
